Is your Squeeze/Landing Page Working? – Get 10 Pointers Here

I have been requested a lot lately to give some pointers on Landing pages by many of my followers – basic, but oh so important. Its right here where so many begin to go wrong.  So here I go – back to basics.

“Landing Pages are an Art form, so Don’t Leave This In The Hands of Your Buddy, or You’ll Still Be Wondering What the Big Deal is About Them, While the Rest of us get traffic, have sign-ups on our list and are making money!”

So, if you only spend money on one marketing action this year, I would recommend that it be a “Power/Squeeze/Landing Page.” Overall, it would be my advice to get someone in the marketplace that has experience with these types of pages, but if you really want to take a stab at it yourself, here are some tips that will help you navigate this new territory.

10 Tips to Improve Your Landing Page

1. Follow the layout that works.

Have you ever noticed when something works, people just can’t help but wonder if they did this, would it be better.  That’s great in some cases, but when something works, be careful what you mess with.  If it doesn’t call for fancy, don’t get fancy.  Find the template that works for your industry, and duplicate it.

2. Research

Take a look at your industry, and then Google/Bing/Yahoo/Ask search to find landing page sites in it.  And then use Alexa to check out the pages ranking.  The combination of this will allow you to see what works for your industry content wise.  Keep the profile of your visitor in mind, when adding content, and target that specifically.    And remember to add a dash of key search terms while you’re at it.

3. Don’t add what isn’t needed

Remember, the purpose of the landing page is to do one thing – and that is get the email address and name of the visitor so that you can build a relationship with them.  Distractions can destroy your conversions. Don’t add any other links, and give them a clear message as to what you are offering, and why they should subscribe.  That is your only purpose.  The only way out, should be to leave, or subscribe.

4. Personalize it

2 ways you can dramatically increase your opt-in ratio is to add your picture, and if it is applicable, your signature.  Let them know you are a real person, and this is a real offer. Anything that isn’t essential to the conversion process, get rid of it.

5. Solve a Problem or Add the Benefits

A great way to get good conversion is to use your text wisely.  Make sure you let them know how you can solve a problem, or the amazing benefits they are about to receive can change their lives.   You need to give them a huge reason to opt-in.

6. Follow the Page Eye-line strategy

There is a specific traffic pattern that they eye follows, so make sure the content you need them to see, follows that.  In addition, you want all critical information to be above the screen line or virtual fold (the bottom of the screen before scrolling).  Watch the number of pictures you have that may distract, and pull from your opt-in, and keep this to a minimum.  You want their eye, to go to the Opt-In.   This is not a place for ads, sidebars, navigation bars or much of anything, except getting to the point.

7. Display your Anti-Spam message

Make sure you make them immediately aware that you will not use their list for any other purpose than what they are opting in for.  You won’t rent, sell, or do anything that would compromise your relationship with the person who now gave you their trust.

8. Opt-in Basics

Optimize your opt-in by making sure you don’t ask for too much.  If you are using autoresponders as your campaign to keep in touch, just get email and first name.  If you have a high-end product that may require some personal communication, then also ask for a phone number.  But in general, less is more.This has been proven.

9. Make it urgent

You want the visitor to think if they don’t opt-in, and listen to your offer, than they are missing out on some very important information.  You must make the need for them to opt-in urgent.  Limited time offer.    Today only.   And if you can, add an opt-in bonus.  Not only will this increase your conversion rate, but it will also add to the relationship building, as you give them something for free.

10. Test and Tweak

Always watch the statistics of your landing page with respect to the number of visitors, and the number that opted-in.   If this isn’t an acceptable rate for your industry, change something, and repost.  Then watch again.  Constantly do this until you get a rate that really helps your business grow, and gives you someone to talk to and build a relationship with.   Things to look at are:

1. • Is the whole page focused on one objective?
   • Is there an urgent need or incentive to opt-in?
   • Do you have all of the critical elements?
   • Is critical information above the fold?
   • Is there any information that you don’t need and is distracting?
   • Does the page add to your overall strategy and brand?
   • Is the whole page cohesive?

With a Landing Page in place, your business can be on an entirely new level of money generation.

Success – Organize Yourself and Set Your Purpose

You may have had some reality on this…

Internet marketing is one of the most overwhelming fields anyone could choose, because it is so vast and it’s like getting a Harvard Education every week with the content and value of information we receive every day.

I have found a lot of Internet Marketers buy programs, buy products, gather information like squirrels, but forget to lay the plan in place to actually do them.

Or they lay the plan in place, but get stuck at something they can’t do, or don’t understand. And they put it back on the shelf for another day, jump on the next exciting tidbit of technology, and continue the cycle.

From this moment forward I want you to start with an organized slate, so that you can see how you can make money, possibly right now.

This means getting some strategies in place to help you stay on top, and not under this market.

Top 2 strategies I use:

(1) For each internet marketer you are following, open up an email folder for them and start to put each of their emails in there. This is for 2 reasons, one it is easier to follow what they are talking about and do any lessons you have missed, and two, it can serve as a swipe file to get good ideas from in the future.

(2) Organize what you already have so that when new stuff comes in the door you will know what to do with it. You can do this in a few ways. You can have files on harddrive for: PDF files, audios, videos, ebooks, stuff I have resell rights to, and stuff I have private label rights to. This is how I have it, and in addition, I add a folder for each mentor program I am involved with, and everything from that program goes in there. So spend some time cleaning up and organizing what you have (you may be amazed what you can put a blog post together on tonight and start selling), and then when the new information comes in, stay on top of it.

Then approach each project in an organized fashion.

And a great way to get started, is to start with the right information. If you know all the processes and steps (in the right order) for putting an internet site up and marketing it and with product selling… Yes – you should be making some money from your site.  If not, then get the right information to make this happen.  My book, “31 Days to Millionaire Marketing Miracles” has helped thousands. Take at least one hour of your day, and devote it to getting organized and staying on top of the easy strategies to make money you can change your momentum and turn your marketing budget into profits and recession proof your life.  Your day should be composed of getting customers(marketing/sales/traffic) , company administration (bills/banks/organization etc) , Planning and communications (emails/phones).  -  be sure that you give all its due.

My Favorite Season, What I Do and Why You Should.

At last, my favorite season is here – and you know even without the snow I used to experience when living in Toronto – I LOVE the excitement that leads up to Christmas, the festivities, and then the epic New Year – where we all get our butts in gear and plan a successful start to the new year.

I now have 25 days of Christmas movies – which we watch together as a family – and last night we even got a dose of the Grinch and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

The important things about this season are multi-faceted, especially because you have to divide your attention between business, family and friends – and it becomes a lot to juggle.

Here is some advice I have for you this year:

1. If you are on a budget this year – buy only what you need for friends, family and yourself. Have a list – go out – and buy just that. The sales will be tempting, slashed prices will call out to you, and deals with delight and taunt you to take advantage of them – but hold strong, and don’t overspend.

2. Don’t forget about your goals from this year. Now is not the time to say “I’ll just pick them up in the new year” and spend the next month partying with friends. This is the time to balance your time effectively. Yes family and friends will want more of you – and yes they are important – but you don’t want to begin next year from a standing start.

Get momentum – even if it is small – so that come January 1st, instead of getting over that hangover, you can spend the day ignoring football and get yourself completely ready to make 2011 YOUR BEST YEAR EVER.

3. Your best way to keep your dreams going is to get extremely organized.

First, Decide what are you going to focus on next year.

And read through the steps – and get in place what you are going to do, and if possible, buy a domain name to get it started and get the fundamentals in place for a product you can create and sell.

Second, buy a 2011 calendar and mark targets on it.
ie. Feb 1st – Have landing page up for listbuilding.
Jan 15th Start a blog and do some posting to it – then once the lasding page is up, driving traffic to your landing page
Feb 15th – Create 10 autoresponders (you should have 3 on Feb 1st with the landing page)
Jan 10th – Create free gift for opt-in (easy to get – its all in the book)
Feb 2nd  – Create download page for free gift (more from the book)
etc.

The book will help you with what needs to be done, and you can decide when.

That way when 2011 begins, you will be ahead of the rest of those who thought this was the perfect time to rest, relax, and shove their dreams under the carpet (for the sake of the season), and are now struggling to get back up to the starting gate, get their thoughts organized, and begin.

Habits are easy to break, and harder to make.

Get your habits started now – so that 2011 is YOUR YEAR.

From Tracy Repchuk a Happy Thanksgiving to You and Your Family

Hi All -

Another great year has come my way and its been more exciting that ever…

Right now I am in the UK with my daughter Celeste, and as a guest speaker at the Millionaire Women’s Bootcamp tomorrow (on Black Friday back in the States), it is time once again to express my gratitude for this past year.

I am grateful for my life, my family, my personal growth, my friends, my clients, my followers, subscribers, to anyone who is helping others or ensuring the planet and its people are prospering and flourishing, and to a year where I found the greatest partners in Debbie Allen and Marie O’Riordan.

A year in review so far for me:

January – my entire family flew to Florida, and embarked on a 2
week vacation where we cruised to amazing destinations such
as Belize, Costa Maya, Roatan and Cozumel. Upon my return
I was on my way to London, UK to my first speaking engagement
of the year, and did my first radio interview of the year as well.

I wanted to create the freedom lifestyle for me and my family that
I always dreamed of when I became an entrepreneur.
I want this for you as well.

February – Settled in to a large list of new clients on my
Recurring Riches for Life Coaching program, and then headed
back to the stage that started it all – the World Internet Summit
in Perth Australia. Magnificent place.

March – The kids were doing great at their internet school,
and Caleb was getting lots of acting jobs, while Celeste
expanded her internet business to include niche web sites
and ebay selling. Kennedy was still in regular school,
breaking swim records for her team. I had done Las Vegas,
Boston and California speaking gigs while we all enjoyed
a prosperous start to the year.

April – a return to the UK for a combined speaking engagement
and vacation, along with my sales for every event exploding
with amazing success and results. I had cracked the code
for platform selling and was on fire.

May – the whole family spent the month in Australia as I did
back to back cities each weekend. Because of internet
school, the kids kept up with their studies from abroad, while
we experienced all the magic of Australia – including a VIP
backstage experience at Steve Irwin’s Australian Zoo.
We held Koala’s, Kangaroos, Red Pandas, Snakes,
Petted and fed giraffes and stroked a cheetah. By this trip,
I had received 47 speaking engagements for the year -
at a time where society was in a recession – we had
created a freedom lifestyle where I got paid to travel around
the world, was able to take my whole family with me, and
experience the joys of family, wealth, health, and off the hook
good times that would live with us forever.

June

- this was the month I held my own event – The Dreams
to Reality Success Summit – and after meeting Debbie Allen
on Facebook, and Marie O’Riordan in Ireland – we were
having our first Power of 3 event back in Dublin, Ireland.
And then our next P3 event in Switzerland. It was the first
time I had ever been handed a HUGE amount in CASH.

By June I had 85 speaking engagements, and turned all
of them down, except for 3.

My life completely changed after these 2 events.

July – Las Vegas, and our first Power of 3 Bootcamp. This
event was 3 days, held in Sedona Arizona, and was the
biggest sales day I ever had.

August -
As a family, our first trip to the Grand Canyon, my first appearance
on stage with Yanik Silver, and a return to stage with Joel Comm,
Mark Joyner, Dave Lakhani, Simon Leung and many other greats.
Then the rest of the month, we returned to Canada to help
my parents move to Halifax, and see old friends and family.

September -
My son had his first film fest movie premiere for Grace Bedell, his
greatest acting year so far, my daughter Kennedy started her
modeling career, and Celeste started niche website building.
This also brought us back to London, UK for the start of our
European Power of 3 Tour.

October -
is the month where everything accelerated again, as The Power
of 3 went to Scotland, Ireland, Geneva Switzerland, Denver
Colorado, Calgary Alberta, Hollywood, California. We had
made record sales in record time, and the start of our new
corporation was EPIC. In there I was also a master of ceremony
for the Artists for a Better World Organization and it was a great
experience.

November
just when I thought the year couldn’t get better, I traveled with
my daughter Kennedy To Dubai in the Middle East for a Power of 3
event there, and we made history. Not only 3 women speaking
for a full day on their own stage, then on the main stage, we
broke records as we had done something that had never been done.
Then onto the Phoenix event, and now in the UK as I return to the
Millionaire Women’s Bootcamp. WOW!

Really – I have traveled the world – a dream come true – but even
better is with my family and greatest friends and partners
Debbie Allen and Marie O’Riordan. It is mind boggling how fast
your life can change, how great things can become, and
if I ever thought I had Quantum Leaps in these last years – it
was just a dress rehearsal for the speed we are helping
people around the world.

I hope you have a lot to be grateful for this year as well, or can
find something to take you into 2011 with inspiration, hope and
a way that you can exceed all your expectations and make your
dreams a reality and live the freedom lifestyle you deserve.

Are You Stumbling? Indecision on Decision? Business Faltering?…
